Centrelink Benefits

Centrelink is the Australian Government Agency responsible for the payment of assistance benefits on behalf of a range of government departments. Their website contains useful information about entitlement and eligibility.

Financial assistance is given to students by way of income-tested schemes such as Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY or Austudy. These allowances are usually paid fortnightly during the period of eligibility.

Centrelink also provides information and resources for customers with Accommodation and Renting Issues, such as Rent Assistance, Crisis Payments and Centrelink Social workers.
