Emergency Accommodation

Some students occasionally have trouble finding suitable accommodation for the duration of their studies. If you find yourself homeless and in distress, there are places you can go for help. The following is a list of places which may be able to provide short term accommodation when these sorts of emergencies occur.

 

Homeless Advisory Service

(8.00am - 5.00pm)

Fremantle Community Youth Service
Ages: 20 and under for singles and couples, 25 and under for families
Provides medium to long term accommodation and support. Often there is a waiting list of 6-12 months.
Offers Emergency Relief Service: 2-4.30pm Mon-Fri where young people can be assessed for support needs.
Will need to provide proof of Date of Birth and a Health Care Card

Perth City Mission
Provides supported accommodation for young people.
15 - 18 year old crisis accommodation
16-25 yr olds - short to medium term accommodation

Victoria Park Youth Accommodation
Not a crisis accommodation provider. Provide external accommodation support for periods of six to twelve months, with the aim to help people to be able to live independently.

Joondalup Youth Support Service Inc.

Ages: 15 to 19 years. Staffed 24 hours a day.

Emergency relief service provided for 15-25 year olds living in the Northern Metro region who are experiencing financial difficulties

Transitional Accommodation - single gender houses.
External support, opportunity to work through any issues with a social worker.
