The University of Western Australia Housing Database is comprised of vacant rental properties and rooms to let, which are submitted by members of the community. The University of Western Australia does not carry out an inspection of listed properties or in anyway guarantee the suitability of listed properties. Access to the database for the purpose of obtaining accommodation is restricted to enrolled students and staff members at UWA. (Prospective international and country students may be given access to the database prior to enrolment). The University of Western Australia does not in any way assess students or staff to determine their suitability for any type of accommodation. It is the responsibility of all potential landlords/lessors to use their own judgement when deciding to whom they will let their property/room. It is the responsibility of all persons seeking accommodation on this database to inspect the offered accommodation prior to entering into a contract with the accommodation provider to ensure that the accommodation meets their needs. The rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords/agents in Western Australia are set out in the Residential Tenancies Act (1987).
