Association for Academic Language and Learning (AALL)

The LLRS team have been involved in the establishment of an Australia-wide association for academic language and learning professionals. Siri Barrett-Lennard is the Vice-President of the association. Siri also acts as one of the WA representatives on the Executive Committee, co-ordinating state level events and networking along with Dr Carmela Briguglio from Curtin University. Benchmarking Project

The LLRS team have an active and ongoing Benchmarking initiative with other tertiary institutions.

We elected to conduct a process (or best-practice) benchmarking project. Our aim was to improve future performance and place ourselves within a broader context of Australian and International tertiary institutions, rather than to conduct a “one-off qualitative measure of performance” (Benchmarking PLUS, 2004).
