Critical Thinking Corner

Welcome

We come to university to learn - but it's not all about statistics, formulas and theories! The best education equips us with the capacity to think clearly, incisively, and imaginatively in the full range of situations, problems, and opportunities we face in life. The Critical Thinking Corner is designed to help you develop your abilities as a critical thinker. It is intended for anyone, at any stage of university education, who is interested in critical thinking.

Critical thinking skills enhance our capacity for reasoned, purposeful thought and action. Critical thinking means using your intellect and your experience when reading, writing, and thinking. This does not mean being negative or unreasonably argumentative. It means using creativity, imagination and observation to offer new insights about existing formulas and theories.

How can you think critically at university?

Enter the Critical Thinking Corner to find out!

Use the links on this page to navigate to the areas of online study, note-making and writing you would like to develop right away, and come back and visit when you are ready to learn more!

Why not start right away?
