Travel advice and vaccinations

Everyone loves a nice relaxing holiday, but too often holidays get spoilt on account of poor health.

To ensure you have a happy, healthy travel experience the Medical Centre can provide you with valuable information on some common health issues that travellers experience while on holiday, including:

  • Mosquito transmitted diseases

  • Travellers diarrhoea

  • Road safety while overseas

  • Vaccinations required for the destination country

Remember that some vaccinations may take six to eight weeks to complete. Ensure that you plan ahead for your holiday and book early to see your GP.

If you are making an appointment regarding travel vaccinations remember that there is a fee for the vaccine, which is payable on the day of consultation.

A Traveller's Pack is available from the Medical Centre, make sure you pick one up when you see your GP.

To make an appointment regarding travel advice or vaccination at the Medical Centre phone 6488 2188 or come and see us on the second floor of the Student Services building in the Guild Village.
